The Cincinnati Bengals‘ decision to move on from running back Joe Mixon and feature Chase Brown this season has generated plenty of conversation among fans.
Said discourse has hit former players, too, with Bengals great Boomer Esiason weighing in on social media over a stat comparison of the two running backs.
Esiason’s point has been echoed by plenty of fans who attempt to measure the locker room impact of Mixon.
It’s a great point, but overall, both parties have to be happy with how things worked out. Mixon is, based on his latest comments about the Bengals and the fact he’s on a playoff-bound team.
The Bengals are, too, for reasons far beyond cap savings — Brown has been one of the better running backs in the NFL this year and is a long-term fit, especially if they can get someone to pair with him in the rotation.
