Ohio State football is going through another one of its hot recruiting stretches.
In June, the Buckeyes added eight commitments to their 2025 class. The good times didn’t stop as the calendar turned over to July, on Monday Ohio State added another top prospect, Pennsylvania defensive tackle Maxwell Roy.
The 6-foot, 3-inch and 285-pounder is one of the top interior defensive lineman in the country, ranking as the No. 229 overall prospect and 26th at his position according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Roy chose Ohio State over offers from Michigan, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Wisconsin, Texas A&M and others.
Thank you to all the people who’ve been a part of my journey, a special thanks to my family and friends who have always been there for me through my highs and lows. Thank you to God for putting me on a path to find home. Buckeyes nation I can’t wait to get to work!! #rushmen 🌰 pic.twitter.com/0eZsNhZlEo
