A bombshell secret letter sent from the abdicated King Edward VIII to Adolf Hitler has been unearthed by a historian in the royal archives.
The shocking contents have now been revealed as Edward thanked the Nazi leader for his 'great hospitality' during a trip shortly before the start of World War Two.
Hidden for 86 years, the sickening letter would have no doubt outraged the British public if it was exposed at the time as many lived in fear of another bloody and catastrophic war with Germany.
