An explosives unit rushed to a quiet street in Midlothian after an old grenade was discovered on Tuesday evening.
The EOD and emergency services were spotted in the Boyd Orr Drive area of Penicuik around 6:40pm on April 4 after an old type grenade was found on the street.
The device was then moved to the Mauricewood area where a controlled explosion was carried out on Wednesday morning, April 5. Various police vehicles, as well as paramedics and the fire service were spotted in the area by concerned locals.
