Bolton Wanderers player ratings vs Accrington - Bodvarsson, Afolayan and Bakayoko good in win

James Trafford - 7

Composed and solid inbetween the sticks and made the saves when he was called upon in the first half, and ended up with assist for Afolayan's goal. Made late stop from Joey Pritchard but not overworked by the visitors.

Gethin Jones - 6.5

Lined up at right-back in a back four. Captain had an okay game and got forward when he could to support attacks, though struggled at times with Accrington attacks.

Will Aimson - 7.5

Another good afternoon at the back for the most part from the former Plymouth Argyle man who appears to be benefitting from run in the team.

George Johnston - 6.5

Central defender made some decent interceptions at times in the heart of defence. Appeared tired due to amount of games played this season.

Declan John - 7

Defender scuffed shot in great chance towards end of first half and was booked before half-time. Looked good going forwards at times and notched assist towards the end for Bodvarsson's second.

MJ Williams - 7

Generally solid in recycling possession for his side in the middle of the park. Was booked in the second half.

Aaron Morley - 7

As always, some nice long balls from the former Rochdale man and continued despite heavy late challenge from Rosaire Longelo as visitors went down to 10 men.

Xavier Amaechi - 5.5

Only third start of the season for Hamburg loanee and had flashes of good moments but probably not enough overall and was booked before being susbstituted.

Elias Kachunga - 6

Operated mainly in the number 10 role and tried to help build attacks but didn't have much impact in the encounter. Replaced by Bodvarsson.

Dapo Afolayan - 7.5

Lined up on more familiar left flank role. Booked in first half for foul on Seamus Conneely but one of brighter sparks and did well to show strength and score opening goal.

Dion Charles - 6.5

Started against his old side and looked up for it from the start with some flashes of great play and went close to giving Wanderers the lead. Worked hard throughout but was taken off midway through second half.

Substitutes

Kieran Sadlier - 7

Went to the right flank after coming on and looked bright off the bench after scoring winner on Good Friday against Doncaster Rovers.

Amadou Bakayoko - 7

Teed up Bodvarsson to put Wanderers back in front and was unfortunate not to have strike of his own with energetic contribution off the bench.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson - 8

Scored marvellous strike with first touch of the ball to give Wanderers back the lead and great work for second of the game late on to secure the three points.
