Sunderland were blitzed by Bolton, with the Black Cats suffering their heaviest-ever defeat in the third tier.
Bolton smashed the Wearsiders for six, with Dion Charles scoring twice, while Dapu Afolayan, Kieran Lee, Declan John, and own-goal from Danny Batth completed the humiliation at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Sunderland's players were jeered by the travelling supporters at full-time, and looked utterly crestfallen as they trudged towards the tunnel.

Here's how James Hunter rated the Sunderland players
Thorben Hoffmann 3
Dreadful mistake for the first goal, and got nowhere near saving any of the others
Carl Winchester 4
Normally so reliable at right-back, he was way below-par
Danny Batth 4
Excellent on his debut last week but looked a completely different player here, and his late own-goal summed up his misery
Callum Doyle 3
Run ragged by Bolton's lively frontmen, he was dreadful
Dennis Cirkin 3
Bolton targeted him as the weak link, and he was caught out time and again
Corry Evans 4
One of the few that didn't give up, but has to take his share of the blame for this performance
Dan Neil 4
Poor, and it was no surprise when he was hooked just after half-time
Leon Dajaku 3
Didn't make any real impact but that was hardly a surprise, given most of the action was in Sunderland's defensive third
Elliot Embleton 4
Brought a save out of Trafford in the first half but did little else
Lynden Gooch 3
Offered next to nothing going forward, and ended up at left-back when Cirkin went off
Ross Stewart 4
Battled away in the first half, but got nowhere in the second
Subs
Jack Clarke 5
For Cirkin 53mins. Made his debut with Sunderland 3-0 down, and it would be pointless to judge him on this
Alex Pritchard 4
For Neil 53mins. Couldn't turn the tide
Patrick Roberts 5
For Dajaku 66mins. A few flashes of skill on his debut but, again, it would be unfair to judge him on this game
Not used: Patterson, Flanagan, O'Brien, Hume
