Indigenous kids in focus for 'broken' care system probe

The gross over-representation of Indigenous children in out-of-home care will form a key part of a major inquiry into a state's "broken" child-safety system.

Former Federal Court judge Paul Anastassiou KC opened Queensland's $20 million commission of inquiry on Wednesday to probe the damage caused by the system and recommend changes to better protect vulnerable children.
