There are radical plans for a 'community-led housing revolution' using council-owned land across Liverpool.
A report to the city council’s cabinet next Friday (January 20) is recommending the adoption of a Community Led Housing (CLH) Asset Disposal Policy, which aims to unlock vacant land and properties for community groups to convert into new homes.
The council says it wants to echo the ambition of Liverpool's Victorian and Edwardian leaders, who created the first social housing scheme in Europe and the nation's first community-led housing group.
