Ms. Sonklin Ploymee, Deputy Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) joined the press conference held to announce the "Cooperation in establishing Bio Base Asia Pilot Plant (BBAPP)", a joint venture between Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and Belgium-based Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BBEPP), on 29 March 2022, and expressed the BOI’s support for the initiative.
The BBAPP project will play an important role in supporting and driving the development of bio-based products from laboratory level to scale-up level creating innovations and high-value bio-based products in Thailand. In line with key goals of the BCG Model in Energy, Materials and Biochemicals, the BBAPP project will help Thailand become the Biorefinery hub of ASEAN by 2027.
