Bohemian FC have led the tributes after losing two valued friends of the club in sad fashion over the last few days.
Derek 'Mono' Monaghan was a former bar manager at the Phibsboro side's home ground of Dalymount Park.
He was well-known to supporters and players alike, even after stepping down from volunteering back in 2017.
News broke of Mono's passing on Wednesday evening, with a number of fans from Bohemians and the League of Ireland in general paying tribute.
One fan wrote: "Hard to put into words what Mono meant to all of us at Bohs. A man who would do anything for anyone, helped so many of us throughout the years and was loved by all.
"He was the definition of a gentleman and the true Bohemian Absolutely devastated"
A second added: "Everyone associated with Bohs will know Mono, and for good reason. He embodied everything good about the club and words can’t express how much he’ll be missed around Dalymount Park."
The news came hours after the club paid its own tribute to another Dalymount native in Martin Poole.
In a statement, the 'Gypsies' wrote: "Everyone at Bohemians wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Martin Poole of BizPrint Printing in Dalymount Lane.
"We were deeply saddened to learn of Martin’s death after a short illness.
"For many Bohemians volunteers and staff, Martin was a treasured and valued neighbour for many years, and someone who always went out of his way to look out for people at our club."
The Bohs Store added their own tribute, writing: "We will always remember Martin. He would regularly take in our deliveries & throughout lockdown when we were often alone in the club packing orders he'd pop his head in with a coffee just to let us know he was just outside if we needed him. A gentle man,"
