Boeing's new Starliner capsule set for first crewed flight to space station, in Cape Canaveral

During the 1:30 a.m. ET news conference hosted by NASA, there were no Boeing officials present. However, Boeing did provide a brief update on its Starliner updates website. The update included a quote from Mark Nappi, vice president and program manager of Boeing’s Commercial Crew Program.

Nappi expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Starliner teams in ensuring a successful and safe undocking, deorbit, re-entry, and landing. He stated, 'I want to recognize the work the Starliner teams did to ensure a successful and safe undocking, deorbit, re-entry and landing. We will review the data and determine the next steps for the program.'

Boeing's acknowledgment of the team's work highlights the importance of a collaborative effort in space exploration missions. The successful completion of these critical stages in the Starliner mission is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the teams involved.

As Boeing continues to assess the data gathered from the mission, the next steps for the Starliner program will be determined. The commitment to safety and success in space endeavors remains a top priority for Boeing and its partners.
