A body that washed up on an island off the coast of Dublin has been identified as missing woman Elizabeth Redmond.
Elizabeth went missing from her home in Artane on December 12, 2021.
Human remains that were found on Lambay Island on last week have been confirmed to belong to the 52-year-old through DNA analysis.
A garda spokesman said: "Following the discovery of human remains on Lambay Island on Thursday, 27th January, 2022, being positively identified through DNA analysis, the media appeal in respect of missing person Elizabeth Redmond has been stood down.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter."
