Body pulled from River Clyde during search for Glasgow man missing four weeks

A body has been pulled from the River Clyde during the search for missing man Andrew Cameron.

The discovery was made at 11am today, close to the Riverside Museum at Pointhouse Place in Glasgow, where the Clyde meets the River Kelvin.

Formal identification is yet to take place, however Andrew's family have been informed.

The 45-year-old was last seen in the Queen Margaret Drive area in the west of the city on Thursday, January 12. Days later, a large team of officers were spotted on the bridge where Queen Margaret Drive crosses the Kelvin

Police say there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11am on Wednesday, February 8, the body of a man was discovered in the River Clyde near Pointhouse Place, Glasgow.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Andrew Cameron, who was reported missing from Glasgow, have been informed. Enquiries are ongoing but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
