It has been confirmed that the body found in a woodland area is in fact missing Katie Kenyon.
The 33-year-old mum-of-two, from Padiham, was reported missing after being last spotted at around 9.30am on Friday, April 22. It is believed she entered a Ford Transit van which left Burnley and headed towards the Bolton-by-Bowland.
Since then, extensive searches have been carried out to find her and this afternoon, Lancashire Police shared that the body officers found on Friday April 29 is the body of Katie Kenyon. The body was found in the Forest of Bowland, with the police force taking to social media to confirm that it's not only here, but that following a post-mortem the Lancashire mum's cause of death was given as head injuries.
