The body of a man has been found in the search for missing person Jamie Reid. The discovery was made near Queensway in East Kilbride around 5pm on Tuesday, July 11.
Formal identification has yet to take place but police say the family of Mr Reid has been informed.
The 44-year-old, from the Burnbank area of Hamilton, was first thought to have gone missing on Saturday, June 25, but after enquiries a sighting of him was made at a soup kitchen the day after on Beckford Street.
There had been no further sightings of him after that time however.
His disappearance has been described by his "worried" family as "very out of character".
Police Scotland say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
