The body of a man has been found after police searched a nature reserve, Derbyshire Constabulary has confirmed. Officers carried out a search at St Chads Water Nature Reserve in Sawley, near Long Eaton.
Officers searched the area following a call about a concern for safety for a man from the local area on Friday, October 7. The body of a man believed to be aged in his 30s was found by officers at around 11.10am that morning.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary has confirmed that the next of kin has been made aware. The incident is not believed to be suspicious, the force confirmed.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary added: "Officers carried out a search at St Chads Water Nature Reserve in Sawley on Friday 7 October following a call about a concern for safety for a man from the local area.
"The body of a man believed to be aged in his 30s was found by officers at around 11.10am that morning. The man’s family have been made aware and our thoughts are with them.
"At this time officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances, and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
