The body of a 15-year-old boy has been recovered from a reservoir, prompting police to call it a "sad reminder of the dangers of entering open water".
The tragic incident near Cowbury Reservoir, Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, occurred after police were called at 6.30pm on Saturday to reports of a boy in difficulty; his body was found later that evening.
