A body that was found washed up on a north Dublin beach has kickstarted a major garda investigation.
Gardai are investigating all circumstances after the body was discovered in Balbriggan on Thursday, April 20. Gardai were alerted to the gruesome discovery on Bowers Beach.
The body has since been removed from the scene and Office of the State Pathologist has been notified. A garda spokesman confirmed that a post mortem will be conducted and the results of this will direct the further course of this investigation.
