Police searching for a missing man last seen at Southmead Hospital have found a body near the Portway in Bristol.
Officers said that while there has been no formal identification as yet, they have been in contact with the family of the missing man, Lech, who was last seen last Thursday, February 17.
Police had launched an appeal for help to find the 35-year-old on Wednesday, and said he had been reported missing on Tuesday, some days after his last confirmed sighting at the hospital.

This week, police officers said Lech had links to St Paul's and Yatton but could have also travelled to the city centre or Clifton since his last sighting last week. A photo of Lech was released alongside the appeal by Avon and Somerset Police.
But today they made the sad announcement that a body has been found in the Avon Gorge.
"We're saddened to be sharing the news that officers trying to trace missing man Lech, 35, have found a body near the Portway in Bristol," a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said.
"While formal identification has not yet taken place we're in contact with his family and our thoughts are with them," they added.
