A body has been found in the waters near Brighton Palace Pier following reports that someone had been swept out to sea during Storm Noa, Sussex Police have said.
Coastguard helicopters and Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeboats were involved in the rescue effort, which was launched on Wednesday afternoon.
