A body has been found in the search for a missing woman.
Ausra Plungiene, 56, was reported missing after she went walking with her dog in Snowdonia on Tuesday, April 11. While formal identification of the body is yet to take place, Ms Plungiene's family have been informed, police have confirmed.
Mountain Rescue Team members discovered the body of a woman near to Yr Aryg in the Carneddau mountain range earlier this afternoon (Thursday).

A major search had been conducted by police and Mountain Rescue colleagues after the experienced mountain walker from Prestatyn was reported missing, Wales Online reports.
Superintendent Owain Llewelyn of North Wales Police said: “Our thoughts are with Ausra’s family at this most difficult time. I can confirm that a dog was found alive at the location.
"I would like to offer my thanks to all involved in the search for Ausra, in what have been extremely difficult weather conditions. Finally, I would appeal for Ausra’s family to be afforded some privacy during the coming days.”
