Police have confirmed a body has been found in the search for a missing man. An appeal was launched on Sunday by Dyfed-Powys Police for information on the whereabouts of a man named Dyfed from the village of Talybont in Ceredigion.
The force has now confirmed a body has been found as part of the search in the Talybont area. The force said that formal identification is yet to take place, but Dyfed's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
The coastguard assisted police officers in a search on Sunday but Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed on Monday that a body has been found. A force spokesman said: “Sadly we can confirm that a body has been found during the search for a man reported as missing from the Talybont area. Formal identification is yet to take place. However his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.”
