Body found in search for missing Bristol man Jake

A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Bristol. Jake, 20, was last seen leaving the O2 Academy, in Frogmore Street, at around 1.45am on March 5.

Police have confirmed this morning that a body was discovered while searching for Jake last night (Friday, March 10). They add that, although formal identification is yet to take place, his family has been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious. Investigating officers have thanked the public for their help sharing the appeal.

Avon and Somerset Police said: "Sadly, last night, while searching for missing Jake, officers found a body. Although formal identification has not yet taken place, we have updated his family accordingly. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

"We are not treating the death as suspicious and we are continuing to carry out enquiries on behalf of the coroner. We would like to thank the public for sharing our appeal."
