A body has been found in the search for missing Ayrshire man David Wylie, police have confirmed this morning.
Officials say that the body of a man was found near Seamill at 6.15am today.
Cops say the man has yet to be formally identified but the family of David Wylie has been informed.
Police say that there appears to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The 41-year-old from Stevenston had been missing from his home since Thursday, March 24.
The police statement reads: "The body of a man was found on the beach near Seamill around 6.15am on Monday, April 10.
"He is still to be formally identified but the family of David Wylie, 41, who had been reported missing from Stevenston on Thursday, March 24, have been made aware.
"There are no apparent suspicious circumstances."
