A body has been found in the search for a man, aged 79, four days after he was reported missing. David Hazeltine was reported missing from Oldham last Monday morning (July 3).
A number of appeals to find him were circulated and shared online, as police expressed concern that the 79-year-old, who had Alzheimer's, may have been missing without his medication.
CCTV captured him at around 10.26am on July 3, walking along Manchester Street, Oldham, in the direction of the town centre.

Tragically, on Friday morning (July 7) emergency services were called to concern for the welfare of a man on a footpath near Westwood, in Oldham.
Police and paramedics attended however David was pronounced dead at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 11.15am on Friday 7 July 2023, officers were called to a concern for welfare of a male on a path near Westwood, Oldham. Officers and emergency services attended.
"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the male was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death."
