The body of a man has been found in the River Clyde amid the search for missing Craig Renfrew.
Craig, 47, had vanished from Queen Elizabeth University Hospital at around 1.30pm on Sunday June 5 as police launched an appeal to trace him.
He was then spotted on CCTV on Hardgate Road, which is next to the hospital, at around 2pm on the same day that he went missing.
Police Scotland confirmed this morning the 47-year-old was later seen on Govan Road at 2.55pm that day.
However hours later, remains were found in the basin area of the river near Clydebrae Street, Glasgow, at around 1pm on Wednesday June 8.
Although formal identification is yet to take place, Craig's family have been made aware of the recent discovery.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
