Body found in Midlothian river as police lock down busy road and woodland

A body has been found in Midlothian woods as emergency services rushed to the scene on Sunday evening.

A horrified local found the body in the Dean Burn, adjacent to Edinburgh Road in Penicuik. Police have since confirmed that a 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
