The body of a pensioner who was reported missing over two-months-ago has been found in Gourock.
Patrick Clark was last seen at the town's Lyle's pub on January 31 with his family describing his disappearance as "completely out of character".
Extensive searches were carried out for the 70-year-old including from the air support unit.
Police confirmed the body of a man was discovered within Mile Burn in Gourock on Wednesday with Patrick's family informed.
There is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "On Wed, 5 April, the body of a man was discovered within Mile Burn, Gourock. Although formal identification has still to take place, the family of Patrick Clark, 70, missing from Gourock since January, has been informed.
"There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death."
