The search for a man missing for 11 days has been stood down following the discovery of a body in Clare.
John McNally, aged 56, was last seen on Friday, May 19 in Shannon.
He was reported missing and gardai issued an appeal for help finding him on Saturday, May 27.

They stated that his family were “concerned for his wellbeing” as they described him as 5’5” tall with a stocky build, brown hair and blue eyes,.
Tonight, a Garda spokesperson confirmed that the missing persons appeal has been stood down following the discovery of a body in Shannon earlier today.
They thanked the public for their help.
“Following the discovery of a body of a male in Shannon, County Clare on Tuesday 30th May, 2023, the missing person appeal for John McNally (56 years) has been stood down.
“An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance. No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time,” they said.
