A missing person appeal for Dubliner Michael Griffin has been stood down following the discovery of a body in Howth last week.
Mr Griffin, aged 66, went missing from the Dublin 2 area on October 6. He was last seen on Lord Edward Street in the Temple Bar area of Dublin.
A garda spokesman said today: "Following the discovery of a body in Howth, Co. Dublin, Friday 21st October 2022, the missing person appeal for Michael Griffin, has been stood down.
"No further action is required and no further information is available at this time. We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter."
