Body found after NSW fisherman swept away

A man's body has been found off Frazer Beach in NSW after he was swept off rocks at Snapper Point. (AAP)

A body has been recovered after a fisherman was swept into the sea on the NSW Central Coast.

The angler was swept off rocks at Snapper Point on Saturday morning, with crews searching until nightfall for him.

The search operation was planned to resume on Sunday morning before a man's body was found on a rock ledge off nearby Frazer Beach about 7am.

An autopsy will be performed this week.
