A body has been found on a shoreline in Glasgow during the search for a man who has been missing for a week.
The discovery was made near Glasgow Green at 3pm today. While formal identification is still to take place, the family of missing Brian Lindores have been informed.
The 54-year-old vanished after last being seen in the Calton area of the city at 5pm on Monday, June 5. Police say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A Police Scotland statement reads: "The body of a man has been recovered from the shoreline in Glasgow. Formal identification has still to take place but the family of Brian Lindores, 54, who had been reported missing in the area have been informed.
"There are no apparent suspicious circumstances."
