Less than 10 seconds was all it took to derail Bree Walker's monobob medal ambitions with the Australian speedster unable to translate her sizzling World Cup form to the Olympic stage.
World No.2 Walker arrived in Italy as a strong medal favourite, with five World Cup medals this season including three victories, and also a bronze in the test event in Cortina last year.
In the one-woman bobsleigh, the medals are decided over four cumulative runs and some errors in the tricky top section at the top of her first run effectively left her out of contention.
