Bobby Zamora tells Nottingham Forest to 'make Derby County miserable again'

Nottingham Forest have been urged to "make Derby miserable again" by Bobby Zamora ahead of the Championship play-off final.

The Reds take on Huddersfield Town in the one-off showpiece finale at Wembley Stadium on Sunday (May 29) with a place in England's top-flight at stake. If Forest were to win, it would end the club's 23-year exile from the Premier League.

Steve Cooper's men enter the tie in good form and they have received well wishes from one man particularly disliked by Forest's neighbours along the A52. In a video clip shared by the London Trickies fan group, Zamora said: "Yes the Forest lot, I just want to wish you all the best. Let's try and make Derby miserable again. This time of year it happens so often. Anyway, have a good'un, love you loads and good luck."

Zamora crushed Derby's promotion dreams back in 2014 with a stoppage time winner in Queens Park Rangers' play-off final victory over the Rams. With the Rs down to 10 men and the game set to head to extra-time, super sub Zamora pounced on an error from Richard Keogh to smash home the winning goal.

In addition to his cheeky social media clip, Zamora has spoken about his support for Forest in the play-off final to talkSPORT.

"Steve Cooper has gone in and done a great job," he told Jim White and Simon Jordan on Thursday (May 26). "They look like favourites. I want them to too win due to my affiliation with the club.

"I’ve got a lot of Nottingham Forest fans that are my fans now after my goal against Derby and I want to repay them by backing them to win on Sunday."
