The Only Way Is Essex star Bobby Norris has revealed that he made the decision to have his facial fillers removed after he realised that he had altered his appearance to excess.
The 35-year-old reality TV star stunned his fans earlier this month when he unveiled his new face after having his fillers removed after several years.
Bobby didn't make the decision lightly, but knew it was time to revert back to his former self after he realised he had become 'stuck in a rut' of getting procedures done in a bid to keep up with beauty standards.
In a candid interview on FUBAR Radio, Bobby revealed that he came to a point in his life where he wanted to be more 'subtle' when it comes to his appearance.
Chatting to co-host Stephen Leng on Access All Areas, the reality TV star revealed that he finally got to a point where he felt it was time to dissolve his fillers after he missed his old appearance.
Bobby told: “I’d just got to a point where I thought it’s time for a change, so I had them dissolved. Big move because I’ve had facial fillers for years.
“Fashion comes around and goes around, and when I look back at how I was when I started having them, I used to dye my hair jet black and I used to love a spray tan- everything was to excess. Subtle wasn’t in the vocab."
While he previously did everything to 'excess', Bobby had quite the realisation last year after going on a journey of self-love.
The much-loved reality TV star realised that he was beautiful with or without fillers - and so, he decided to get rid of them.
But it wasn't an easy decision for him to make.
“Over the last couple of years I have seen things differently and I feel like I’ve changed and I’ve kind of gone on this little bit of a journey. It just was time to ditch them," Bobby explained.
"It’s not a decision I made overnight. I’d just got stuck in a rut of having things done."
Bobby also admitted that he was concerned about how he would look without fillers - having had them for so many years.
“It’s kind of a scary thing because obviously, where you’ve had things done, you don’t see underneath the fillers how your face has aged.
"Underneath them you’re still ageing, so there was that scary moment where I thought, ‘am I gonna wake up in 48 hours… How old am I gonna look?’ Because I kind of cheated the process for a few years.”
Despite his initial reservations, Bobby is more than pleased with the end result.
“It’s a very good decision for me personally to have got shot. I just feel fresher from it," the TV star told.
"I’m just at a point in my life where a little bit of subtlety is hopefully going to bode me well. Times have changed.
"Change is good, isn’t it.”
