Bob Saget: Comedian and star of TV’s ‘Full House’

Bob Saget, a Jekyll-and-Hyde comedian who gleefully veered from the wholesome to the profane, was found dead on 9 Jan in Orlando, Florida. He was 65. Saget was known for offering fatherly advice on Full House, hosting the family-friendly clip show America’s Funniest Home Videos, and telling some of the dirtiest jokes imaginable in his stand-up sets and cable television specials.

His death was confirmed in a statement by the Orange County sheriff’s office, which said Saget had been found unresponsive in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. The cause was not known, but the statement said that detectives had found “no signs of foul play or drug use”.
