A planned episode of The Repair Shop featuring Bob Monkhouse’s handwritten joke books has been pulled after concerns were raised about “sexist” material.
The BBC programme had filmed a segment on the late comedian’s vast archive of jokes, some dating back to the 1960s, which were brought in for restoration by his former writing partner Colin Edmonds and his adopted daughter Abigail Williams.
