A search for a missing fisherman off the Queensland coast is continuing after his boat was discovered.
The local man in his 40s failed to return from a solo fishing trip off Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday afternoon.
Water police began searching for the man that night after family raised the alarm.
His boat was located off Comboyuro Point, Moreton Island, on Monday morning.
"The man has not been located and a water and aerial search is continuing," police said.
