A derelict pub next to the beach could be set for a new lease of life after it was put up for sale.
The Sands in Ainsdale was once a busy pub full of locals and day trippers but is now an empty building after being boarded up by the council. The pub has now been listed for lease by Savills estate agents.
The estate agents have said that the lease will provide a "unique development opportunity" for any potential tenant.

The listing said: "The Former Sands Public House, owned by Sefton Council, is located in a prominent position in Ainsdale-on-sea, one of the Key Gateways to the Sefton Coast close to Ainsdale village.
"It has a large car park and is within walking distance of Ainsdale Station. It is handy for walkers and cyclists using the Sefton Coastal Path (Crosby to Crossens), the Trans Pennine Trail, and the soon-to-be-opened section of the England Coast Path.
"On the instructions of Sefton MBC, we are offering the former Sands Public House as a redevelopment opportunity. We are seeking proposals for this important gateway location with a prominent position close to the nearby leisure amnesties of Ainsdale beach."
The property is permitted to be used as a hotel and is not a listed building so it can be developed. Sefton Council listed the pub with the hope of finding someone who will transform it.
Should the proposals be accepted by the council, the preferred developer will be granted a building licence where, on completion of the redevelopment work, the leasehold would be granted.
