Greater Manchester Police seized a car at a Wigan car meet after discovering the driver did not have a valid driving licence. The force tweeted that officers from their Special Response Tasking Team attended the local car meet with the purpose of providing a visible presence as a way of deterring any potential anti-social behaviour.

While at the meet, officers spotted and subsequently stopped the BMW 320 on Orrell Road, where they found the driver did not have a valid licence. They also discovered that the vehicle was uninsured. The team then seized the car and reported the driver.
