A BMW driver jumped onto the bonnet of a moving car on the motorway.
The incident occurred on the M56 Westbound between J6 (Hale Four Seasons Roundabout) and J7 (Bowden) on Tuesday morning (December 20), following an earlier altercation on the A555. Cheshire Police were called at 10.36am after receiving reports that a BMW driver had got onto the bonnet of a moving Kia Nero on the motorway.
Emergency services closed two of three lanes on the M56 Westbound causing major delays for motorists as police responded to the incident. Police said the man was being treated for injuries, sustained after jumping onto the moving vehicle, and enquiries into the incident were underway.

Earlier today, a Cheshire Police spokesperson told CheshireLive. "At around 10.36am today (Tuesday 20 December) police were called following reports of an incident on the M56 westbound between junction 6 and junction 7. The incident involved the driver of a BMW, a man, who exited his vehicle and got onto the bonnet of the Kia Niro following an earlier altercation on the A555.
"Officers are currently at the scene and the man is being treated at the scene. Enquiries in relation to this incident are underway."
