BMC won’t replace private doses nearing expiry without order

MUMBAI: At least three private hospitals have approached the civic body urging them to replace their vaccine stocks nearing expiry with ones that have a longer shelf life.

Civic officials told TOI they cannot replace or buy back stocks in the absence of instructions from the Centre or the state. “A few hospitals, including Godrej, Surana and Apex have enquired if their stocks could be replaced. As of now, we have no such policy or instructions,” said a BMC official.
