BMC launches dedicated WhatsApp number to address garbage-related complaints

MUMBAI: On the occasion of World Environment Day i.e. June 5, the BMC will launch a dedicated WhatsApp chatbot number-- 8169681697, to address citizens complaints related to garbage in public places. This platform will allow citizens to register complaints or provide suggestions regarding waste management.

The BMC said that citizens can send photos of garbage accumulation, unclean roads along with the address or GPS location. Once a complaint is registered via the chatbot, it will be forwarded to the respective department for prompt action.

The concerned solid waste management officer will address the complaint within a specified time frame and upload a photo of the resolved spot, ensuring immediate feedback to the citizens.

"Mumbaikars are encouraged to take advantage of this service and utilize the WhatsApp chatbot number to report any issues related to solid waste or unhygienic conditions. The BMC administration earnestly requests active participation to maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the city of Mumbai," said the BMC.
