Met Eireann forecast strong winds to hit Dublin with wet weather to batter the capital this week

Met Eireann predicts that blustery weather and scattered showers will grip Dublin in today's forecast.

Rainfall will subside later on, allowing for sunnier conditions to develop in the afternoon. However, blustery weather will not clear until the evening, with fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds anticipated.

Highest temperatures will range from 7 to 9 degrees in the daytime, dropping significantly overnight. The evening will start off dry with clear spells, with rain and winds gradually setting in from the southwest.
