Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently met with the State Department senior leadership team to convey President Biden's directive to maintain momentum in their work over the next six months. A State Department spokesperson revealed that President Biden emphasized the importance of continuing to make progress on key initiatives during the remaining portion of his term.

The spokesperson, Matthew Miller, highlighted that despite the announcement of President Biden's decision not to seek re-election in 2024, there is still significant work to be accomplished. Miller reiterated the President's expectation for the State Department team to remain focused on fulfilling their responsibilities and advancing critical objectives.
