Despite being abused and thrown aside, a disabled dog has shown an incredible bond with humans.

Palomo, who is completely blind, was found curled up under a car trembling with fear but instead of growling at his rescuer, he "hugged" her.

The two-year-old dog is said to "wiggle with happiness" when in the company of humans but despite this, he has been unable to secure his own home.
