Blaze scorches two hectares of ‘tinderbox dry’ grassland in Enfield

Around 70 firefighters have tackled a large grass fire in north London that spread across two hectares amid scorching temperatures.

The blaze ripped through “tinderbox dry” grassland at Rammey Marshes in Enfield on Sunday afternoon, with ten fire engines responding.
