A major emergency response was sparked this morning after a fire broke out in a Glasgow flat block.
Emergency services rushed to Ruby Street in the Bridgeton area of the city around 6.45am and remain at the scene.
Video footage of the incident shows a large scale response with multiple fire engines lining the road and surrounding streets.
It is not yet known if anyone has been injured in the blaze.
Police confirmed there is no risk to other residents within the block of flats and say enquiries are currently ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police and emergency services are currently dealing with a fire at a block of flats on Ruby Street, Glasgow to which they were called around 6.45 am this morning, Friday, 24 June, 2022.
"Enquiries are continuing.
"There is no risk to other residents within the block of flats."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.03am on Friday, June 24 to reports of a dwelling fire at Ruby Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances and one height vehicle to attend a fire affecting a flat within a multi storey building.
“Crews are still at the scene.”
