The winter break has come to an end and the 2026 season kicks off with the BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026. 32 teams join the online stage of the tournament, hoping to punch their ticket to the LAN finals in Malta by fighting their way through a grueling single-elimination bracket. With the added factor of the Drafts and Bounty system, the year will start with a series of exciting storylines.

BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 format explained
When BLAST announced their trio of Premier format back in 2024, Bounty stood out as the big outlier. And the 2026 version is no difference. The format sees 32 teams enter the battle with eight playoffs berths on the line. The underdogs (bottom 16) are given their choice of opponents in BLAST’s signature Draft Show.
Each of the top 16 teams comes into the tournament with a bounty on their head, and whenever an underdog upsets the favorite they earn that bounty. Half of the bounty amount goes to the upsetting underdog’s prize winnings, while the other half becomes their bounty instead. Through this unique mechanism, BLAST distributes its prize pool (which goes hand in hand with VRS ranking points) across the field of teams.
