Blake Lively's personal trainer reveals mum-of-three's weight loss secrets and diet tips

Blake Lively 's personal trainer, Don Saladino, has shared his top tips for losing weight efficiently and maintaining a toned figure like his celebrity client.

The fitness fanatic has trained the likes of Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, but also, Cindy Crawford, Marvel's Sebastian Stan, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.

He explained that his clients are "never starving themselves" and that they're "never doing no-to-lo carb" in a revelation that may come as a shock to some.

Don also swears against caloric deficits and instead encourages healthy living habits, like drinking water, walking loads and most importantly, getting enough sleep each night.

"'It's a fat-burner, and it's free," he told E! News, before adding that he once saw a client lose nine pounds in three weeks simply from sleeping 90 extra minutes a night.

"My clients understand the importance of being strong and they understand the importance of getting in enough energy. They don't starve themselves," Don said.

"Let's stop talking about weight loss," he added. "Let's start talking about body composition change and stop living in a caloric deficit. Calories are energy, so if you get into a car and you gas up a car, a car is going to drive until it runs out of gas or until you pull over.

"The human body is going to look at the amount of calories someone is consuming and say, 'Wait a second, this person is not putting enough energy into my body,' and you're not going to run all that well.

"That's why you see people who are eating too little calories, they can't lose weight. Their blood sugar level is low and their energy level is low, so they are not moving as frequently anymore," he reasoned.

Don went on to state that walking can be a great form of exercise and can be as simple as walking everywhere for at least 30 minutes.

"Walk to work in the morning, walk home from work, after all three of your meals, walk for 30 minutes, just do something," he encouraged.
